FOCUS Wales 2018 will welcome over 7,000 people to the town of Wrexham in North Wales. The festival will showcase 200+ bands on 20 stages as well as stand-up comedy, arts events, and film screenings.

Sesiwn Fawr

Sesiwn Fawr

July 2018 in Dolgellau

Sesiwn Fawr celebrated their 25th anniversary in 2017. The festival was established in 1992, increasing in popularity until the mid-late ’00s. After a short break, it returned in 2011 on a smaller scale and back to it’s folk music roots. Past performers have included Lowri Evans, Kizzy Crawford, Plu, Super Furry Animals, Steve Earle, Burning Spear, Bob Geldof, Solas, Saw Doctors, Bryn Fôn, Meic Stevens, Paul Dooley, Cerys Matthews and Goldie Lookin Chain.

The Sŵn Festival is the flagship new music festival for Wales. Taking place across venues in Cardiff for three days each Autumn, Sŵn brings together new and emerging bands and artists to play in the venues and spaces in the Welsh capital that support and nurture the best new acts.
